Jared Van Ittersum, D.D.S. has been practicing dentistry for twelve years while simultaneously developing and co-owning the multi-state private D.S.O., Infinity Dental Partners, with his busi-ness partner Dr. Elias Achey. Founded on the principal of strategic partnerships, Dr. Van Itter-sum built his group by surrounding himself with industry experts to help implement the explosive growth strategies he’s experienced in a post-recession era.
In 2001, Dr. Van Ittersum co-founded a .Com company called Document Imaging Solutions, Inc., and co-developed an enterprise-level document management software solution called DIS-imaging™, and an electronic medical record software suite called EMR-imaging™. With instal-lations in several Fortune 500 companies and government facilities, including Langley Air Force Base, U.S. Naval Command Center, U.S. Federal Marshal’s Service, American Red Cross, Procter & Gamble, and Whirlpool, his company quickly grew to a reseller network of 156 com-panies.
In 2005, Dr. Van Ittersum led an IT team at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry to col-laborate with Apple, Inc. to develop iTunes U©, the international digital education authority now utilized by millions of students worldwide. Dr. Van Ittersum represented both Apple, Inc. and the University of Michigan speaking at a multitude of education forums nationwide and became a part of a think tank team at Apple’s headquarters during the infancy of the App Store develop-ment.

Dr. Dixson became the managing partner of Smiles Dental in 2008. In 2010 he finalized a buyout of his former partners, assumed the role of President and immediately accomplished a successful re-launch of the organization, setting Smiles Dental on a path to explosive growth. The company proceeded to double its number of locations, triple revenue and quadruple its valuation in the ensuing three years. From 2013 to 2015, Smiles Dental roughly tripled the number of locations, revenue, EBITDA and organizational valuation again. He also concurrently co-developed the dental analytics technology software platform that became Practice Analytics, one of the industry leaders in real-time dental practice management analytics.
Under Dr. Dixson's leadership, Smiles Dental was recognized three years in a row (2013-2015) by INC Magazine as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the United States, topping out at #550 in 2013. Additionally in 2013, he completed a successful private equity transaction.
In addition to his M&A Advising and Consulting work, Dr. Dixson provides Board Services to investment firms. He also currently serves as a trusted DSO/dental industry advisor for private equity firms, dental technology companies and global dental brands in a variety of capacities.
Dr. Dixson returned in mid-2017 from a one-year sabbatical where he and his family visited six continents and thirty-five countries while homeschooling, with only what they could carry on their backs.
Jackie Miller is a communication + public speaking coach passionate about helping people own their voice and speak with purpose. Inspired by the belief that everyone has an innate ability to communicate powerfully and purposefully, she launched Bespoken in 2015 to help people be their best in front of an audience.
Bespoken provides individuals and teams dynamic, interactive, and customized professional development experiences rooted in practical theater technique helping them communicate with confidence and clarity. In addition to public speaking and presentation training, Bespoken offers workshops on collaboration + active listening for teams, women in the workplace, and conscious communication + leadership for managers and executives.
Just a small cross section of Jackie’s previous experience includes: supporting strategists at Blue State Digital in championing the mission of clients such as United Way; coaching an activist working to end harassment in public space on their keynote for TED, and helping media executives at Showtime excel in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.
Even though her experiences are greatly varied, they have shown Jackie regardless of one's age or professional affiliation the desire to communicate powerfully and with purpose is a universal one - and one she's proud to help many different people achieve.
Before starting Bespoken, Jackie amassed 15 years as a director and curator of cultural public programming across New York City. She holds a B.F.A. in Performance and M.A. in Arts Politics, both from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
Mr. Tomcsik has a BA Degree in Philosophy with a concentration in Ethics from St. Mary’s Public Honors College of Maryland. He holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching from Notre Dame of Maryland University. After spending several years with one of the largest marketing firms in the US as a product campaign manager for major international brands, the past sixteen years have been focused on dentistry.
As a Co-founder and owner of Tidewater Management Services (TMS), he helped drive a small single location dental practice into a multi-million-dollar fixture in the southern Maryland area with four locations and over $12MM in collections annually. In 2017 he sold TMS to a regional DSO and is currently their VP for the mid-Atlantic region.
Mr. Tomcsik is also the co-owner of a six-bedroom sleep testing and treatment center in Southern Maryland. He owns BAMM Enterprises which specializes in dental branding, marketing, consulting and the sale of teeth whitening supplies. He speaks and consults internationally on topics which include Practice Transitions, Marketing, Branding, Management, and Efficiency models, as well as the Future of the Dental Practice. He also lectures on the management of treating OSA in the dental practice.
Mr. Tomcsik has been featured in Dental Economics, a leading publication in the US. Speaking engagements have included lectures for the DEO, Academy of Dental CPAs, California State Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, Chesapeake Dental Conference, the American Dental Association’s Annual Conference, and the American Academy of Dental Group Practices.
Amber is the VP of Operations for Peak Dental Services, which has been recognized as one of Inc. Magazines Top 5000 fastest growing companies for three years in a row. She has been dedicated to the growth of Peak Dental Services since 2009 and has extensive knowledge of operations and the dental field. Her focus has been growing and scaling operations, building a positive culture, training teams by designing, writing, and implementing extensive training programs, as well as building, coaching, and developing teams to support aggressive growth.
